Each is concerned with narrative in a very different way; Bartholomew makes paintings of characters in ethereal landscapes whilst Eleanor creates interior spaces where the absence is almost tangible. Despite this obvious difference they share a literary quality. or 2013 PRISM, one of the largest international textile groups, have taken the title Liminal for their annual exhibition. The work selected for this exhibition explores the idea of crossing the threshold, challenging and exploring the boundaries between tradition and innovation within textile practice. In bringing together this particular combination of wall-based pieces, 3 dimensional work, video and installation together under one roof, PRISM promises an exciting and eclectic mix of work that will excite and inspire.
